New Report Captures Insights from Retiring Leaders in Mental Health & Addiction

Pillar Nonprofit Network and the London Middlesex Mental Health and Addiction Strategic Direction Office (SDO) have issued a joint media release highlighting the SDO's new report on retired and retiring nonprofit leaders and a launch event planned for Wednesdy, April 10, 2024.

Pillar Board Announces Permanent CEO, Maureen Cassidy

The Board of Directors of Pillar Nonprofit Network is pleased to announce the appointment of Maureen Cassidy as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective Tuesday, September 5, 2023. The Board enlisted the help of an external Human Resources consulting firm to conduct an independent review of the role, expectations of the Board and organizational needs, as well as a formal performance appraisal. Based on the assessment, which included staff and board input, a recommendation was made to formalize Maureen’s interim role to permanent CEO.

Pillar Launches Municipal Voter Engagement Initiative

In the wake of dwindling voter turnout in recent elections and our commitment to strengthening democratic institutions, Pillar Nonprofit Network is launching an effort meant to encourage people who rarely or never vote to cast ballots in the upcoming municipal election, October 24. Called Project 51 London, the initiative’s long-term goal is to increase municipal voter turnout in London municipal elections to greater than 50% by coaching community organizations to mount voter education pop-ups designed by the Democratic Engagement Exchange.

LONDON, ONTARIO – This past November, Pillar Nonprofit Network reached a significant milestone, celebrating the 15th Annual Pillar Community Innovation Awards (PCIAs) and over 190 stories told. The PCIAs are a signature event for Pillar and an important opportunity for the network to gather, be inspired and celebrate extraordinary people in our community.

The bike ride will officially launch programming for SDG Cities, a collaborative initiative between 10C Shared Space and Pillar Nonprofit Network that supports localization of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in mid-sized cities.
