Introduction to Project Management

May 31, 2012
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Stevenson & Hunt Room

Everyone understands the cost – dollars, people and customer satisfaction – of projects that are delayed, not completed or changed mid-stream.  Often we shy away from implementing project management techniques because we believe that it will add another layer of work to an already overflowing work queue.  In truth, appropriately selected and applied project management techniques will decrease workload and improve productivity.  And without realizing it, many are using project management techniques and tools in their daily lives – both at work and at home.

At the end of this 3-hour session, attendees will
- Know that Project Management does not mean adding to administrative work load
- Understand the basic components of project management and how to use them selectively
- Have some simple tools to use
- Access templates and references provided by the presenter and other attendees
