LONDON, ONTARIO – Are you a current or aspiring nonprofit leader or social change agent? Interested in making the best use of your leadership potential to create positive change in your community? Pillar Nonprofit Network is excited to announce our 2012 Winter Spring Professional Development Program with a focus on leadership development. We are happy to announce that the new program is sponsored by Citi Cards Canada and the City of London.
The professional development program offers a wide variety of learning opportunities, including leadership development, social enterprise, communications and project management. New for the community is “Leading for Community Change,” a five-part series designed to expand your leadership skills by discovering personal, collaborative, strategic and innovative leadership strategies.
Community-minded facilitators will help you become a leader who has real impact on your community. You will build a deeper understanding of how your leadership, mixed with a cross-sector outlook, can help tackle major community issues. You will explore your personal leadership and how it affects your life in relation to others. Determine where you want to take your organization and learn strategies to foster innovation. We will enrich the learning through peer-to-peer mentoring opportunities that will extend learning outside of the classroom. This is an opportunity to look at what is possible in your leadership style and to learn how to empower the possibilities in others.
An assortment of workshops on other topics complete the Professional Development Program. All of the sessions help to build your resume and allow you a chance to meet a professional network of contacts. To register for the Leading for Community Change program or other sessions, please visit www.pillarnonprofit.ca or call 519-433-7876 for more information.
We would like to thank Citi Cards Canada, our official 2012 professional development sponsor. Its support shows a strong commitment to education and the growth and development of the nonprofit sector.
