Position Description

Do you love arts & culture and have Smart Serve certification? Join us as a volunteer bartender at TAP Centre For Creativity!

TAP Centre For Creativity is located at 203 Dundas Street in downtown London, Ontario. We are an inclusive and supportive venue, demonstrating how the arts can enrich our lives and our city. Our three storey historic venue is unlike any other in the city, providing a community forum for all expressions of creativity; theatre, fine art, craft and performance art, and most importantly, the ability for anyone to experience and experiment through educational programs. Housing 11 resident artist studios, we provide unique experiences that attract both artists and the public to ensure our long term viability as part of the creative fabric of London.

We host an average of four events each week featuring everything from Shakespeare to contemporary theatre, art exhibitions, poetry readings, concerts, dance recitals, artist talks and so much more. During these events, bartenders are here to serve beer, wine and soft drinks to our patrons with due diligence to liquor laws and Smart Serve regulations. Ideal candidates are friendly, social and responsible.

This is an ideal opportunity for both new and experienced bartenders to practice their skills. This role also offers the change to mingle with artists and attendees who share your enthusiasm for arts & culture. As an added perk, our volunteers have the opportunity to watch and participate in the events for free.

We are looking for mid-to-long term bartenders who can ideally commit to one or more shifts each month. An average shift is 2-hours in length and there are volunteer opportunities during a variety of days/times each week.

If you are interested in applying, please send a brief email to info@artsproject.ca which shares some information about yourself and your interest in this volunteer position. Our Events and Volunteer Manager, Chris White, will contact suitable applicants to schedule a meeting to share more about our organization and the volunteer roles.

Thank you for your interest!
