Asset Management Specialist

Summary The Asset Management Specialist reports to the Manager of Community and Corporate Services and is responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing evaluation, monitoring and maintenance of the UTRCA’s asset management program consistent with UTRCA policies and procedures and in accordance with the goals and objectives of the UTRCA’s Strategic Plan and regulatory responsibilities. This position will be responsible for the delivery of the UTRCA asset management program and the coordination of the area leads and specific asset managers.

Education:

 A degree or college diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution (university or College) in Engineering, Certified Engineering Technologist, Business Administration / Management, or Natural Resource Management, or a related discipline.

Preference will be given to individuals with Certified Asset Management Professional designation (CAMP) or Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA) with asset management experience.

 Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence is required.

Experience:

 A minimum of three (3) years of professional asset management working experience.

 Experience with the development of strategy and preparation of policies and procedures is required.

 Experience with the management of data, as well as experience with interpreting and making recommendations for applications is required.

 Ability to work with and develop relationships with key stakeholders in the industry

 Organized and detail-oriented.

 Well-developed problem solving and critical thinking skills.

 Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Compensation and Other Information

 Grade 8: $43.06 to $52.40 per hour;

 Full time, 35 hours per week;

 Comprehensive Group Benefits, Pension Plan (OMERS) and Vacation package;

 Free access to UTRCA Conservation Areas (Fanshawe, Pittock and Wildwood);

 Start Date: As soon as possible.
